Do we still need WordPress?

For years WordPress was the answer to many of the problems involved in building websites. A ready-made ecosystem, thousands of plugins, proven solutions and lower implementation costs. Why build something from scratch when most of the features you need already exist?

But what if, thanks to AI, building a custom website or application starts to take less time than configuring WordPress, choosing plugins and adapting a ready-made theme?

AI Assisted Development changes the rules. Solutions that until recently were too expensive can now be built in hours instead of weeks.

Does this mean the end of WordPress? Not necessarily.

In the talk I will use examples from my own work to show how AI is changing the way websites are built, when a custom solution may be the better choice, and when WordPress still comes out on top.

We will also talk about how these changes affect the future of WordPress developers and the software houses that have built their business on it for years.
