From entry list to result

Regatta Systems brings together event preparation, the work of the race officials and the publication of results. The organiser, the starter, the finish line judges and spectators use different views of the same system, each with the information needed at their stage.

Preparing the event

The organiser can import entries, add competitors and set up races. Entry lists and the schedule stay in one place, and changes do not require sending out new versions of spreadsheets.

The event programme puts the starts in order and helps the team follow the course of the regatta. A separate organiser panel is used to manage the event, while the public view shows published information to competitors and spectators.

Officials’ work during a race

The system splits tasks between stations: recording the start, the finishing order and identifying competitors. Dedicated panels let each person focus on a specific task instead of handling the whole event programme from a single screen.

Data from each stage adds up to the race result. The organiser and the race committee work on shared information, from preparing the start to publishing the results.

Live results

The public schedule and results can be viewed without logging in, on a phone or a computer. Published changes appear on the open event page, so spectators can follow the racing without downloading new files.

Results can also be embedded directly on the event’s website. The public part and the event management panels serve different purposes, but they use the same data.

Technology and project scope

The application uses React, TypeScript and Supabase. It includes the organiser panel, officials’ stations and public regatta views. An information website presents what the system can do and leads to the list of events and contact.

The project covers the whole process of running a regatta: preparing the data, team collaboration during the event and delivering results to competitors and spectators.
